Qwould this item be suitable to use as a guitar pick up if attached to a 1/4 inch jack and then plugged into a guitar amp? The guitar strings would be nylon. If this isn't suitable could you suggest one that was? Thanks for your time.

AHi Neil, thanks for your question. It would work but may only pickup a decent level when playing loudly. For the best results it would need to be attached well to the body of the guitar to ensure it picks up the maximum vibrations.
