4-Channel Interactive Expander/Gate PRO XR4400

The Behringer XR4400 4-channel interactive expander/gate unit is a high quality noise reduction device that is at home both in the studio and as part of a stage set-up. The expander part of the unit increases the dynamic range of a signal and the noise gate part attenuates the signal when it falls below a user-determined threshold. High-performance VCAs are featured on all channels and the unit boasts ultra-low noise 4580 audio operational amplifiers for outstanding sound performance.

The unit provides four frequency-selective ultra-transient response (UTR) ) expanders/noise gates in a single rack space whilst still allowing comprehensive control over signal processing. The wide range of control functions include: parametric side chain filter with monitor function, independent threshold, hold and release controls, mode switch for choosing expander or gate function, a range/ratio control (range for gate mode attenuation and ratio for expander). The Multigate Pro also features LED ladder indicators for threshold and gain monitoring.
