  • QTC is poised to revolutionise everyday items like switches, keyboards, speed controllers and sensors
  • All forms exhibit a striking change in resistance when deformed by squeezing, pulling or twisting
  • Available in pill form, for a variety of applications
  • Pills measure approx. 3.5 x 3.5 x 1mm

15 July 2014 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 06-1298
Q. I am intending to build a sensitive mat with 64 low pressure sensible point . I will arrange that sensible point in an array of 8 row by 8 column over an area of 2 feet by one foot. A pill can work well. Which can be the advantages using a QTC sheet for that? What do you recommend ? . I will really appreciate your answer. Thank you very much.
A. Hi Alex. Thank you for your question. These QTC pills can be cut into smaller pills to save cost and as they vary in resistance depending on the pressure levels present they should work well in your type of application.

When I first opened my delivery and found a 3mm x 4mm rectangle, I thought, "What can I do with That?!" Stick a resistance meter on it and youll find it can be used ANY way you like. The PDF illustrates several uses which are by no means exhaustive. It does not however tell you not to poke it too hard as a sharp probe will pierce it. Speaking of which, you can cut it and have 2! Oh, and yes, it does still work well with a hole in it. Hands up, who wants Rapid to sell it by the sheet!
